Earthsong and Matua Wines a leading New Zealand winery have partnered to create a spectacular food and wine matched dinner this October. Food and wine lovers will be treated to a sensory journey featuring the tastes of spring with a very special selection of Matua Wines.
Earthsong chef, Trevor Rendle, presents new season spring tastes with a stunning five-course dinner menu. Each course is matched to wines chosen by special guest, Nikolai St George, Senior Winemaker for Matua Wines.
Nikolai St George who holds a Diploma in Wine & Viticulture and a Bachelor of Applied Wine Science is focussing his international winemaking experience on Matua Wines. His passion for the art of winemaking is reflected in the consistent high quality of Matua Wines.
The Great Barrier Island Charity Winemakers Dinner will be held on 2 nights, Friday 22 October and Saturday 23 October 2010 and funds raised on each evening will be donated to the Great Barrier Island ambulance service.
During the evening Earthsong chef Trevor will introduce the flavours and inspiration for each course. Nikolai will present his chosen wine for each dish. Diners will taste wines not tried before and be treated to some new releases.
