In the heart of Marlborough’s wine region lies Timara Lodge peacefully nestled within 25 acres of lovingly manicured gardens, with a large in-ground swimming pool, grass tennis court and 5 acre private lake.

Experience the gourmet pleasures of Louis Schindler, our own internationally renowned and Michelin experienced chef. The wine list includes acclaimed local vintages as well as Spy Valley wines from the Lodge’s own 350 acre vineyard. A personal winery tour is easily arranged, and included in the tariff is pre-dinner drinks, four-course gourmet dinner with wine, full breakfast and airport transfers.

Finding your way

Timara Lodge is only 10 minutes drive from Blenheim, which is regularly serviced by direct flights from Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch. Picton is only 35 minutes drive from the Lodge and Wellington to our private heli-pad is just a 15 minute flight.

Choose from 4 charming ensuite rooms with king beds, some with spa baths and private sitting rooms. All have picturesque views of either the magnificent gardens, stunning lake, or the distant magical mountains.

Local Attractions

Situated in the heart of the largest grape growing area of New Zealand, the province’s many wineries offer tastings of their renowned wines. Fly fishing, golf and some superb gardens provide added interest as well as the Queen Charlotte walking track and cruising the waterways of the Marlborough Sounds. Nelson and whale watching in Kaikoura is reached in just 90 minutes.
